Memory Walk for Pop Pop

Danny's aunt started a team for this year's Memory Walk to help end Alzheimer's. Danny's Grandpa Skip and my Pop Pop both have the disease. It's really really sad...and hard on the families, especially my Mom.

In many cases the sufferers get angry and stubborn--understandable when you don't understand anything that's going on! But, we are lucky because both of our grandpa's have been "nice" after losing most of the memory and recognition of most, if not all, the things they formally loved. Which makes the loss a bit easier to cope with...

So...to do our part against a relentless, slow, killer--we are walking. I hope to raise $200 and our team hopes to raise $1000. We are about half way there right now which is great because the walk isn't for a few more months. What's even best is that the team goal of 10 members has been surpassed and now we have 13 members! Isn't that great!
