We just got married!

Two years of planning ended in a beautiful day, but it didn't start that way!

I was sick from the night before until just before the wedding took place. I couldn't sleep at all the eve of the wedding and I was sick when I woke up. Not only stuffy and puffy...but nauseous!

Getting my hair done was less fun holding a bucket and eating crackers...but I made it through it!

It all became real after putting on the veil!

After gettin all gussied up we headed over to the Royal Tea Room for a tea luncheon fit for a queen.  Once again...too bad I didn't feel well! I only had a cup of soup!

After a fun lunch we headed to the location of the ceremony...the Fox Grape Farm...aka Danny's Aunts house!

They did a really great job getting everything ready for the wedding! One thing we didn't expect was the chairs we rented to show up so dirty they looked brown--and they were white! The fam helped powerwash them and all was good!

I was still pretty sick so I went upstairs to have a few quiet minutes. I took a bunch of medicine and just sat quietly. I don't know if it was a combination of nerves and an actual cold or what...but all I know is that I did not want to feel like this for my wedding day! Luckily, after a while I started to feel better and even get hungry!

Perhaps it was adrenaline overriding sickness... whatever it was I was glad to feel a bit better!

I got ready with all my girls around me! My throat was still pretty sore so I had to use some Chloraseptic to make sure my vows could be heard! After everyone made it up from the fields and took their seats, it was time to go!

I was getting...anxious? My heart was beating--no fluttering--I started sweating and I was on the edge of crying! I could hear the harpist and her beautiful music was making it all worse...so beautiful!

We stood at the top of the stairs for awhile until it was ready to lineup in the hall. Our parents were down there with us and boy were they excited! They even had a little pow wow...

Grandma was the flower girl and boy did she steal the show! She was so cute and pretty in her dress! I was proud to have her there and apart of the ceremony!

Then it was my time...my heart was pounding more than I can describe! I heard the harpist playing my song...the crowd is standing...a huge crowd by the way! And the sun...it was shinning! It had been dreary and cloudy all day!

I had been trying not to cry too much...but my Dad, the music, the crowd--it was all too much!

I started crying and trying to smile at the same time...
which is really hard to do!
But I think I managed!

Walking through the crowd was overwhelming...but there at the end I saw my hunny...who was also crying...and that sent me over the edge!

Once we met, I immediately pulled out the handkerchief that I had concealed in my dress to dab my eyes. No pockets...so what else am I supposed to do?

I also hid my vows in my dress and whipped them out when appropriate. Everyone laughed but  what else was I supposed to do? Hold it in my other hand? Opposite my flowers? No.

After our vows we took some pictures and rode off in our super cool get away car. I tracked down a guy with the help of my ladies in order to surprise Danny. He loves VW cars especially this old school bus. It was so cool to get to ride to our reception in it...and boy did we get attention!

The reception was a lot of fun...but seemed to go by soooo fast! If you want to see the pictures from the reception visit the photographers website at:
